|Ch-Ch-Changes (New Web Features)
First up, I’d like to introduce the newest member of the USPSA HQ Staff. Rick Brotzel joins us as In-House Webmaster. Rick is fitting in nicely with the crew and has made many improvements to the websites already. If you’d like to welcome him aboard or have any suggestions for improving our web presence, please drop him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition to maintaining the USPSA and SCSA websites, Rick will be updating our social networks regularly. If you have content you’d like to see on our FB page, please send it his way. We’re always looking for fresh, new content. Have a video you took at a match and posted to YouTube? Send us the link! Want to highlight a big match in your section or area? Send Rick the details so we can help spread the word.
We’ve automated the application process for those wishing to apply as match staff at the Nationals. Just visit this link: http://uspsa.org/match-staff-app.php and you’ll be whisked away to an online application form. You can also find the link by visiting the Nationals page. It’s on the right sidebar, about halfway down the page. Those forms will come straight to us after submission, thus saving everyone time, effort and money.
Similarly, the process for booking an NROI seminar has now been automated as well. You can find the link here at the top of this page: http://www.uspsa.org/NROI-seminar-info.php or by clicking the “NROI” tab at the top of the homepage and then the link for “Seminar Information” – top of the middle column.
We rolled out our new Nationals website this week as well. We’re hoping it will make for easier navigation and will be more user-friendly for our members. Check it out here: http://uspsa.org/new_nationals/
Finally, this Friday we will be unveiling a new service. You’ll see a “Live Chat” button that, when clicked, will allow you to pick a department such as Accounting, Memberships, NROI, etc. Once the department has been chosen, you’ll be connected to one of our fabulous staff members in that department for real-time chat support.
This is just an update of some of the new services and improvements we’re rolling out, but there’s more to come. As I said, please drop Rick or myself (email@example.com) an email if you have more ideas for improvement. We’re always eager to hear from our members!
Thanks and happy surfing!
